Washington, Aug 16 : Actress/singer Miley Cyrus has edged past Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber to be inducted into the International Bowling Hall of Fame.
The ‘Hannah Montana’ star emerged as the winner, after receiving 42 percent of the votes.
The Bowling Proprietors Association of America (Bpaa) asked the public to vote for their favourite celebrity bowler last month, with names including Kardashian, Bieber, Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga and Jeff Bridges.
“We knew that with megastars such as Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber in our lineup that this year''s race would be a close one,” Contactmusic quoted Steve Johnson, executive director of the Bpaa, as saying.
“Fueled by the passion and support of her supporters and bowling fans worldwide, Ms. Cyrus rose to the occasion scoring an incredible comeback victory.
“We are honoured to welcome her into the Hall of Fame and grateful for her support of the great sport of bowling,” he added.
